Guest guest
Debbie/Roxie, Thank you both for your input re my infection. It turned out not to be an infection. I took some Tylonal, and purchased a cool water humidifier, and I am a brand new girl! Yipee. I have not been free of headaches in ages. Deb, I am so sorry this holiday has been a difficult one. I really hope things turn around for you. Have you spoken to other REs in the area? Where you considering a visit to Dr. Indman? You have really been through so much. You deserve the best possible treatment! Take care to you both. I hope the New Year brings us all new luck. Hugs from the east coast! Anyhow I know that the sinus passages are swollen with pregnancy and I have allergies anyway so it didn't help. The doctor recommended that I take Sudafed and Tylenol. Well, I'm an Advil person, for some reason Tylenol doesn't work for me. You can't take Advil when pregnant so I just went without.I took Sudafed which is Psudophedrine sp?, it is a decongestant. You can also buy it in liquid form which I think works better. I took alot of hot showers and breathed steam from a pot of water on the stove. I also used a cold mist humidifier in my bedroom at night. The key is to keep the mucus moist and to blow and spit a lot.I know it sounds gross but you have to get it out for the infection to go away, that is if it is an infection. It may be just a virus, they will also produce green and yellow mucus. You can take short hot baths and stick your hed under water and also put warm washclothes on your head.Drink hot tea with honey and lots of water! That is my prescription from Dr. DebbieGood Luck!
