Guest guest Posted March 1, 2001 Report Share Posted March 1, 2001 (and everyone)- You have a right as a patient to have a test performed whether or not the nurse or doctor wants to give it to you. Most patients think that you only have the right to refuse testing but be clear that you can have a test... this is part of your patient rights! My mom used to work for patients rights and she informed me of this. So call your doctor and tell them that you want the test and you have a right to receive it! I hope that I'm not sticking my nose in too much but I can't stand to see these doctors and nurses sit on their hands when we patients are worrying ourselves silly. There is no reason for it! Also, I had a real/full period (cramps, heavy etc.) when I was pregnant with the ec and did not know I was pg until I continued to spot days later.
