Dawn 's Condition Hello Everyone, This is Dan 's boyfriend. was admitted back into the hospital last night, she may have broken a stitch. She was bleeding from her incision. Her doctor is going to see her this morning and decide whether or not she needs to go back to surgery to get restitched. Was the Dr. questioning a stitch inside or outside of her incision? Dawn 's Condition Hello Everyone, Dan again, will be leaving the hospital today. Dr. Reines thinks that she loosened a stitch he feels that their is no way that she could have broken one since it's one big stitch. She's in good spirits happy to come home. The doctor also took her off of bed rest she can walk around but cannot do any lifting what so ever. The oncall Dr. thought that I had busted a suture in my abdominal wall, so he ordered a CAT scan. I was then admitted to the hospital for observation so Dr. Reines could make a better assessment on Monday (the next day) When Dr. Reines saw the openinf and poke around it with cotton swabs (which hurt so bad I could scream) he didnt feel an opening. He sent me home yesterday with a binder and a visiting nurse coming in to check on me and change the dressing twice a day. FOr now I am taking it real easy until the wound starts to heal more at the bottom. dont want to chance a hernia. THank you all for you kind words and thoughts. I will write more again soon. It sounds like Dr. Reines was pretty thorough/conservative (sorry about the pain!) with your admission back into the hospital and subsequent observation. I'm glad to know you'll be OK. It sounds as if you are following Dr.'s orders and resting--this is good. Second, I'm very happy to hear of your 16 pound loss! Just watch for redness, swelling, or a " halo " effect around the site, and report any fevers that may occur. Keep the area clean, and you should be on your way! Congrats on teh 16 lbs already!
