Guest guest
I need to make more friends in the tattoo industry. Hehe....It's really the only way to get into it. -- Re: Weight Loss Breeds Spontaneity - There is a new tatoo/piercing shop on Commercial Street in Provincetown, too. I'd probably be a little nervous about this...but I personally know the guy that is running it, and he does absolutely AWESOME work. His mother is an EMT on our Squad. The girl that is working with him is also an excellent tatoo-er (is that a word????).
Guest guest
What kind do you have? and I got a band of small, curved, blade-like tribal designs that just repeat around in a band. They kinda look like a stylized leter V with a hook to one side...Hard to describe in writing. For the color around it there is a light blue and it's colored in to look very...painterly. Kinda like crayon I guess...It's not a sharp fill around the black tribal with a distrinct outline...more like a scribbled in look. Then around the top and bottom of the blue is a purple that is also the scribbled crayon look. I love the way it is. It's not your typical look for a tribal tattoo. -- Re: Weight Loss Breeds Spontaneity Back to tatoos. I have 1...and I'd like to get at least one more...but I'm afraid to do it now, being just post-op. What about when I lose weight, and the skin hangs or whatever? I know it would depend on where the tatoo is...but I think for now I'm just going to get the one I have re-colored...it has faded over the years...and then figure out what I want for down the road. Guest guest
Hehe...Pain doesn't usually bother me. I'd rather have real pain that one of those dull aches anyday. was pretty shaky when they did the underside of her arm. She pulled through though. I was very proud of her. -- Weight Loss Breeds Spontaneity Yesterday afternoon I was pretty bored so I started thinking about what I want to do in the future when I lose all my excess weight. One thing I have always wanted to do is to become a tattoo artist. Now, I didn't have any tattoos. I was looking around on the web yesterday at tattoo shops in RI around where I used to live...And out of the blue decided " Damnit, I want a tattoo " . How can I ever hope to become a tattoo artist when I haven't even experienced it myself. So as soon as got home I grabbed her and we headed to a little shop in Middletown that I had been in before. It was about 9pm when we got there. and I decided to get matching 'bands'. Mine is around my forearm and hers is around her bicep. It ended up we were the last two people there and we got started at 10:30. The owner closed the shop and left at Midnight and we were there with the tattoo artist <A really nice guy> and a couple of his friends. We were just hanging out in this closed tattoo shop getting inked till 5:30 in the morning. Hehe...I also got my eyebrow pierced. These are things I've wanted to do for years but my weight and issues with being in public really prevented it. But aparantly I'm getting over my issues. Life is great. I'm down 73 pounds now at almost 7 weeks out. Unfortunately I can't go swimming for 2 weeks because I can't go in chlorinated water. Blah! Guest guest
It's ok that they're addictive. My other addiction is really expensive software...So it's the lesser of two evils. Thanks Cheryl! - Re: Weight Loss Breeds Spontaneity , Welcome to the world of the tattooed!! LOL Watch out now, cuz they are addictive. I got my first one done when I was 18. Then I got another and this weekend when me and my family go away my sister and I are getting matching tattoos. (chinese symbol for sisters) Piercings can be addictive too so watch out! First I did my eyebrow then I did my tongue. : ) Enjoy your reward, you deserve it. Cheryl L.

Guest guest
Coming in late on this conversation...I was away for the 4th. Tuesday after work, I too got spontaneous and travelled to New Hampshire for my very first tattoo!! It is a green shamrock with my daughters name under it. I got it on my left shoulder blade. I have to say the pain was a lot more than I expected, but once they start you can't stop, so I just tried to deal with it. No tears!! I can't say that I am ready to run and get another one just yet, but hey. I saw a few others on the wall that I really liked, so I just might someday. I have always wanted something small on my ankle, like a doplhin or something. And actually, once I eventually get a TT, I plan on getting my belly button pierced. Maybe a tattoo around it too??? Congratulations on your tattoo and Too. Believe me I know how it feels. Now I am just trying to keep it moist and not freak when I see the color flaking a bit. I have to say it came out really nice. Guest guest
Hehe...Thant's awesome. Once I get all my surgery done and all my scars are pretty much set ( a couple years ) I'm going to design some tribal work to go around them...Kinda decorate them.
