Congrats on joining the ranks of the illustrated. I remember when I got my

leg band 4 years ago and the print wouldn't make it all the way around my

ankle so he freelanced the last inch and a half and I swear it's the best

part of my tattoo. Main Street Hyannis just got a tattoo parlor and I was in

there looking around at the designs last weekend. I'm thinking about a sexy

reward for next summer. These things are addictive YIKES!

You are right.. tattoos are addictive! I got my first one when I was about 19

or 20... just a little one... well, now I have 4 (and I have been holding

back cause they are so addictive! ) and thinking of another one.

Actually I think I am going friday for my new one..... it came about when my

friend asked me to bring him down to get his first one. I can't wait!

I promised myself the first summer after I have WLS surgery I am going to get

another one, like you, as my reward.

There is a new tatoo/piercing shop on Commercial Street in Provincetown, too.

I'd probably be a little nervous about this...but I personally know the guy that

is running it, and he does absolutely AWESOME work. His mother is an EMT on our

Squad. The girl that is working with him is also an excellent tatoo-er (is that

a word????).

Also......I know we don't know each other that well (well, you did sell me a

cell phone a couple years ago!)...but please, if you need anything...even if

it's just to talk...let me know. You can email me offlist if you'd like, and I

don't know what you're schedule is like, but if you'd like to make a trip to

Truro, my fiance and I would love to talk. Sometimes it's not a bad thing to

talk to " somewhat " strangers. Seriously...don't hesitate. We're here for ya'!

OK...back to reading emails. I had my first 3 spoons of chocolate sugar free

pudding today. I'll tell you...I won't get too into my sex life...but it was

BETTER than sex!!! hehehe. OWWWWWWW....I can't laugh...it hurts too much! ;-)

Back to tatoos. I have 1...and I'd like to get at least one more...but I'm

afraid to do it now, being just post-op. What about when I lose weight, and the

skin hangs or whatever? I know it would depend on where the tatoo is...but I

think for now I'm just going to get the one I have re-colored...it has faded

over the years...and then figure out what I want for down the road.

Why doesn't this surprise me one bit? You did something YOU wanted to

do, then some! Way to go! Enjoy the pain babe! I too got a

tattoo....NEVER again! I'm a big whimp! I passed out BANG...right on the

damn floor, and mine is just a tiny little rose! I could NEVER imagine

having something all the way around my arm or leg! I'm petrified, and

scarred for life!

Weight Loss Breeds Spontaneity

Yesterday afternoon I was pretty bored so I started thinking about what I

want to do in the future when I lose all my excess weight. One thing I have

always wanted to do is to become a tattoo artist. Now, I didn't have any

tattoos. I was looking around on the web yesterday at tattoo shops in RI

around where I used to live...And out of the blue decided " Damnit, I want a

tattoo " . How can I ever hope to become a tattoo artist when I haven't even

experienced it myself. So as soon as got home I grabbed her and we

headed to a little shop in Middletown that I had been in before. It was

about 9pm when we got there. and I decided to get matching 'bands'.

Mine is around my forearm and hers is around her bicep. It ended up we were

the last two people there and we got started at 10:30. The owner closed the

shop and left at Midnight and we were there with the tattoo artist <A really

nice guy> and a couple of his friends. We were just hanging out in this

closed tattoo shop getting inked till 5:30 in the morning. Hehe...I also

got my eyebrow pierced. These are things I've wanted to do for years but my

weight and issues with being in public really prevented it. But aparantly

I'm getting over my issues. Life is great. I'm down 73 pounds now at

almost 7 weeks out. Unfortunately I can't go swimming for 2 weeks because I

can't go in chlorinated water. Blah!
