Oh, I am a freaking 31 on that test.

I have never been called normal, but I don't exactally qualify as an Aspie

either. Go figure.

LOL!! I told Jim next convention we go to, I'm going to dress up

like a Trill and wear a Tee-shirt that says " I DON'T DO SLUGS! " But

he said no one would get it (I had to explain it to him), and

definately no one would think it would be funny. I'm really too much

of a smart ass. Geez I'm cussing tonight. Need to slow down on that

mouth.....Maybe it's a manic fit.

LMAO! It is spelled Georga although if you get it close I will answer. :0)

I picked up the book Pretending to be Normal and read it. It is written

by this woman about what it was like growing up being an aspie without a dx and

all that, how she adjusted, when she found out as an adult she was spectrum and

all that.

read it and said that he seen more of himself in there than he cared to

admit to. Chances are very good that he is an aspie.

Yes, he makes a pretty good living as a techno geek. He has also built all 3

computers in the house....

Oh goody. I'm glad you sent this in. I was thinking that quark was

something in the science field, but I didn't want to take the time to

look it up. LOL...

It does sound like Gorga, Georgia, Georga (why can't I remember

this???!!!) anyway, it does sound like Kris & G's hubby's could very

well be AS. (you're not crazy Kris, well, maybe you are, but not about

this LOL) I remember when I first started reading about ASD that

there often is a scientist or engineer or " computer geek " in the

family somewhere of an ASD child. I can't figure it out too well in

our family except that my Grandfather was in electronics repair and

died from Alzheimer's disease (but NT as far as I can remember), my

Dad was an Engineer for IBM, but way too social to be AS I think, and

I'm fairly certain that on hubby's side of the family there could be

some AS.

So, do Aspie hubby's make good livings? It seems like that might hold

true.

Actually, there is some debate about the difference between a Trekkie and a

Trekker is....various people find one or the other an insult and so forth. I

won't go into it all. It is a rather strange argument...much in the same way

that the " Which is better, Star Trek or Star Wars " debates are strange.

> Well, should I admit this?

>

Don't feel bad, Georga. When I tried to sign up for a Yahoo id, I

couldn't get any version of my name: Tina . So I got mad and

used a name I made up for a charater in my fantasy novel (not

published but still looking for a home) I don't think this is

weird...but my husband thinks I'm nuts. He scored a 32 on the AQ

test. He NEVER shops unless it's for soda because I rarely buy that

and he has a serious caffiene addiction. He's an electrician though

and has to do things the same way all the time. He drives me insane

with the TV. If he's home, the TV is on, even if he's outside for

hours at a time. I turn it off, he walks through the room, turns it

on, and right out the door without even pausing to see what's on.
