Gotta tell ya Coco, since I quit going to meetings the first time, I've not done as well. It's always easier to say we can do it on our own, and we've learned enough, but it's harder. If you are going to quit meetings, my only suggestion is that you come up with a solid plan that you can stick with (i.e. "I will journal", "I will count points, drink water and exercise", etc). Having your husband support you is a tremendous asset.

Keep us posted.

Disappointed!

Well I found out that the leader I love at my WW meeting is no longer with WW. She was so motivating and the reason I went back. Now I am wondering if I even want to go to meetings. I do not like the lady that filled in for her and I have not liked the last several leaders I had til I found the good one. Hubby says he will support me and go to the gym more with me. I have you all and I have a couple of gals I chat and email with. Maybe that will be enough to keep me on track. I don't know what I should do, I am very disappointed!

WOW! I am so sorry to hear about your leg pain. That sounds just horrible. I hope you start feeling better soon. If not go back to your regular doc and see what they say. I am sorry you are not going to meetings. Are you still journaling and staying OP? I just wonder if chatting and emailing my couple of friends and having all my support here, if I need the meetings. I can think of so many other things I can do with the cash. I hated paying and then gaining so that was motivation too. My Dad mentioned maybe paying him say $5.00 a week and WI at home. The good thing would be that when I get to gaol he would give me the money back to buy new clothes. Maybe this will do it? Hope you have a great time on your vacation. Thanks for your

support!

Donna,

There are other meetings but I went through many of them and finally settled on the one leader because she was funny, lost 100+ pounds, kept it off for about 6 years, she was very motivating. I do not get that from the other leaders. The leader they have for my group now just does not do it for me! UGH!

Jon,

Thanks so much for your support and input. I am still undecided about what I am going to do. I know that no matter what, I have the support of all my buddies here and that means a lot to me. Are you back to meetings now?

Hey Coco! How's things???

I haven't been here for quite awhile. I've been busy doing spring-

things outside, and haven't had any quality time with my computer

like I do in the winter.

Sorry to hear that your leader left. I guess it all depends on

whether you benefit from the meeting or not if you should go back. I

never joined WW because I'm too cheap, but decided to follow the plan

on my own. I've lost 21.5 pounds since March 9th on the plan, but I

have to be my own leader and motivator, along with all the motivation

I got from everyone in this group. If you think that you can do it on

your own, then do it. If you think you need the extra motivation from

the meetings, then try finding another location or just keep trying

different leaders again.

That's great that your hubby will go to the gym with you. My hubby

won't even go for walks with me. He says he is always too busy or too

tired. You are very fortunate to have such a supportive husband.

Count yourself lucky and take advantage of his offering to go to the

gym with you. Hell would have to freeze over before my husband would

ever set foot in a gym with me! LOL!

Gail,

Thanks for the help! There are other leaders but not ones I am thrilled about! LOL Picky, picky I guess. If I am spending my hard earned $$ I want someone that motivates me or at least teaches me something new! I guess for now I will go it on WW Online.

Gail,

After chatting it over with my hubby and my dad I have new motivation. LOL I am going to pay my dad $5 a week to put in a savings until I need it to buy new smaller sized clothing. Also, my dad decided to up the pay off and has set up a payment plan for me and the first pay off is 30 pounds and I get a nice chunk of cash! Gotta love that! Also with it being summer the kids are here so we are swimming and going to the gym more. Even bought Volley ball and Badmitton Set, along with tennis equipment too. So NOW would be the perfect time to try this on my own with WW Online. I can always go back and join WW, they are not going anywhere! LOL So, that is my plan for now.

Coco,

If you want a good exercise, and you like swimming, try playing volleyball in

the pool. You can get little floating nets or just tie a string. It's low

joint stress and it's good exercise because of water resistance, plus it's

hysterical!
