Re: Remission/Cure of cea?

I have an uncle (by marriage), who has had rosacea since he was in his early

thirties. He is now 74, has rhinophyma and still gets outbreaks of pustules

and redness. I'm hopeful that some people can have remission of symptoms,

but know that some suffer indefinitely. I would hope the odds are more in

favor of most people having improvement with age!

a positive way. I do not want to think that I will have this condition

forever and, certainly, all the dermatologists I have spoken to about it say

the same thing - that you do not see old people with rosacea - and that

rosacea eventually burns itself out. So, at the very least, we do not have

to look forward to this condition in our twilight years! However, like

, I have been told that the condition lasts loosely for between 6

months and 20 years. Not surprising as we have the same dermatologist!
