Guest guest
OK, someone help me here. county Chief Epidemiologist stated to someone that " EMS workers are not health care providers " ? We are not social workers, we are not public servants, we are not taxi drivers. Am I the only one having an identity crisis? What are we then? Danny L. Guest guest
We're " ambulance drivers " and " band aid dispensers " . We don't need flu shots, because it's inconceivable that anyone we pick up who's been vomiting x 2 days with fever and cough could possibly have the flu. I'm sure Dr. Whomever was misquoted...otherwise he needs a lesson in the true nature of our work and the risks we willingly expose ourselves to. *S* Take Care All Cork > OK, someone help me here. county Chief Epidemiologist stated to > someone that " EMS workers are not health care providers " ? Guest guest
Sir don't touch me and please walk to the truck and climb in I will shut the door for you and get in the front with the driver and don't puke on any thing lay down if you want to and oh yea maybe you should use the safety belts fell free to use the oxygen if you know how and puke in your lap not my floor thank you sir for letting us help you. That was the way it was before my time and that would date the expert as older than me and that would be dirt. People really don't know that we do and hell of it is they don't care and don't want to know. They only see us on TV and a lot of the time the actors don't know what we do either. Rescue 911 use to have all the wrong stuff paramedics arrived on scene played dr. and then turned the pt over to an ambulance crew that loaded the pt in backwards and shut the door and both got in the front blew the siren the drove of to a hospital. ========================================= Re: Flu Shots We're " ambulance drivers " and " band aid dispensers " .
