Dixie,

You have demonstrated that you are a hysterical bigot and a menace to

society. I feel sorry for your neighbors. Debunking all of your lies

and delusions would be a full time job. Please, go back to Texas, and

don't let the screen door hit you on the way out.

I think you might find agreement with Tommy here. Has it occurred to

you though that the " schizos " will be the first to avail themselves of

this freedom, and very likely to shoot first? One who frequents my

local park has a fondness for carrying a machete in a backpack with

the handle sticking out. He once chased a woman with it. (Do you have

evidence that women are more likely to be attacked incidentally?)

This is what I find so mystifying about the " right to carry " view. If

you really think you have to defend yourself against rapists and

killers on a regular basis, why arent you walking about with a

chastity belt and body armor on? Wouldnt they be rather more useful

than a gun, at best a useful adjunct if you should get a chance to use

it? Maybe with those you wouldnt ever have to use it, but I'm sure it

would feel good to do so anyway... I note that those genuinely at

significant risk of assassination, such as abortion clinic docs, wear

body armour. I bet those ordinary folks who insist they need a gun to

defend themselves almost never wear body armour, and indeed, as you

indicated, probably slacken on precautions against assault that

non-gun owners take. I knew a guy who went out looking for muggers

in a dangerous area with a broken bottle - he'd probably have carried

a gun if he could. This isnt defence through fear - this is an excuse

for at least an aggressive posture, if not the act.

I''d like to say at this point that I never intended to seriously

suggest that Jim was or had been mentally ill. It was only a tease

that Jim took offence at. If you read this, Sorry Jim.

Hey, that's 4 to 5 times as many as MM via Kishline. We should have a

I have been close friends with many schizophrenic and mnic-depressive

ppl,, amny of whom have been fine on meds only to go belly up when

they reduce or come off, and if they survive to go back up/on, may

never hget back to where they were before. One schizophrenic friend

has told me I might save the life of another one by befriending him

and encouraging him to keep taking his meds. I am happy to say I've

seen him go down from a 100mg dose of his antipsychotic down to a tiny

12.5mg as he gradually recovered, but we both agree coming off that

last 12.5mg is not a good idea. He has an injection once a month and

say he enjoys it - it gives him a nice glow. A shrink wanted him to

switch to Alanzapine for a trial - no injections, just pills, no

extrapyramidal symptoms so absolutely no tardive dyskinesia. He was

angry at the suggestion. After a long talk, I found out why he was

angry; he was scared that if he came off the injection, administered

by hospital staff that would alert Social Services if he didnt show

up, that he would be tempted to come off his meds and have another

terrifying and potentially fatal session of Wes Craven

movie schizophrenia.

Psychiatric libertarianism should be left to the Scientologists (who

should be beaten).

Another mildly uncouth bit of carelessness is posting something " wally "

never wrote, and nothing " wally " ever did write, after a line containing the

character strings " " wally " " and " wrote " .

Hey Wally,

Sorry man... I just quoted Jim who did it, I wasn't to know. Any

mildy uncouth bit of carelessness was his, but it happens... it

happened to me only recently, on this list, I think, appearing THREE

times! I didnt think you were the sort of guy to make that " door hit

you " line at the time, I just believed what I saw.
