I tried Mederma also, but had to give it up after a couple of days

use because my skin itched horribly. I figured I was doing more harm

scratching than any good the cream might do.

Another suggestion, my dermotologist recommended Cimeosil, which is a

silicon cream. He said that wouldn't itch like Mederma, but it's

pretty sticky. I had a bit of a hard time finding it though, I think

I finally ended up purchasing it at the dermotologist's office.

Good luck to you!

Hello :

I've been using Maderma for three months now. When I first started using

Maderma it made me itch alot and I couldn't stand it. I called the number on

the Maderma box and spoke to the representative and he told me to just use a

little bit and let it dry really well then put a lot of cream on it. It doesn't

matter what type of cream. I started do as he suggested and the itching went

away. I'm still using it and it looks like it has helped my scar a little bit.

I can still see it and some areas of it are still red.

Hi,

My mother purchased Dermablend to help hide my scars recently. I have the TT

scar on the neck as well as scars on my leg from a childhood glass injury.

It is available in some department stores. You need to match it up well to

your skin tone, though. The color she purchased is a little pinker and

darker than my natural skin tone so I won't be using it. It does not wash

off in the pool. It washes up well with soap and water in the shower. Don't

take a bath, though, until you have removed it. I did this and it really

clung to the tub.

A word of advice: if you want to try Dermablend make sure you try it out at

the store. For my neck scar undereye concealer works just as well blended in

with a damp finger or facial make-up sponge. Good luck.
