Guest guest
Poneyboy, Calm down... deep breath time. You will make it through the evening to the visit with the doctor - and beyond. I'm reluctant to comment because I don't know the drug you are talking about and the symptoms of renal failure are far too numerous to be a definitive explanation. In short, anything I say will be meaningless without the numbers. What do your most recent labs look like (please forgive me if you've told us, but I've been up to my eyeballs in work)? I know you are waiting for your 24 hour labs, but do you have any values from blood tests? I know how scared you are. Everyone here has been there. You're in the right place. Please let us know what the docs say tomorrow. Cy Whats This > I and my wife noticed some burses on my left and right arm today and I have also been having some intense kidney pain alone with nausea and dizziness. I went to my pdoc and he called my reg doc and they narrowed it down to two things. 1) a very very rare and little know reaction to lamiictal in which the blood is attacked somehow, 2) the beginning of renal failure. I would like to know are these the symptoms of renal failure? I'm really scared to death right now. I did a 24 and have not got the results yet and I go back to the doctor tomorrow. any insight will help me a lot. Guest guest
Hi Poneyboy, How are you feeling today? Please let us know what the doctor says. On the bruising, I bruise very easily too, and often have bruises I have no idea how they got there. That in and of itself is not too alarming, but the kidney pain and nausea are. I hope you are feeling much improved today.
Guest guest
I went to my reg doc today, and after a thuro exam he thinks it is the lamictal. it has all the symptoms I listed. Ray on this list sent me the info for his neph doctor and I gave it to my reg doctor and He made me an appt with him, so thanks Ray for the 411 on the doc. I have stopped the med on doctors orders, so I hope to get better soon. Poneyboy " The Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one " Spock Star Trek II The Wrath of Kahn.
