Why can you use a chelator sooner than the half-life, but not later? Like with DMSA you can take it every 2 or 3 hours from what I gather, but not later than every 4 hours, as that is longer than its half-life (if I am correct?). Surely the DMSA will build up to 'higher and higher' levels if taking it sooner effectively making you blood levels higher? What happens after the half-life time is up? Does the DMSA/ALA get destroyed/metabolized and just let go of the mercury if it is not already excreted? If there is no more DMSA/ALA in the blood by having taken the next dose on time, then it can't be mopped up again and is simply re-distributed? And finally is the half-life dependent on two factors: 1) the measured half-life as measured in a lab and 2) the speed of metabolism of a person, or state of detox pathways. On another note I ordered the books buy leaving a message on Andy's phone and would like to confirm my order to him via email as I ordered from South Africa. Can anyone supply me with his email address please? Thanks, Dean Quote
