Just an FYI to everyone.

I again received a virus today from the list, but this one was addressed

directly to me, not to the group. It was a reply to the following message that

I had typed. So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but.... Joy -McNeill

(unicornsaver@...) I think you may have this virus and don't even know

it! The reply I received was from you. I would suggest either running a virus

scanner if you have one, or checking out this webpage to take the virus off your

computer. :-(

Stay safe everyone...and keep your 'puters healthy.

~What do people mean when they say the computer went down on them?~

Attachments/Virus'/Worms...

Hi everyone-

Salesman Mode ON:

I'm just going to throw this out there for what it's worth. Personally, I

don't always keep up on Defrag'ing my hard drive as often as I should...I don't

clean out my Temp files enough...yadda yadda yadda...but one thing that I am

very anal about, is virus's. Just my suggestion, but I strongly urge everyone

that uses a computer, and likes to continue using it, to drop the $30 and buy a

Virus Scanner. There's a bunch of them out there...I personally use Norton

Antivirus, for no other reason than it's what I've been using all along, and I

like it. To me, it's the best $30 I can spend for my computer. In the past, I

got virus's that destroyed my hard drive and I lost everything. It sucks! You

can walk into Staples or Best Buy or wherever, buy the software, come home, and

install it yourself in minutes. It's easy to do, and it's worthwhile. Then,

every so often, you have the Software go to the company's website, and it will

download all the recently updated virus definitions, so it's constantly being

renewed with new " anti-viral " stuff. It's like Pennicilin for your 'puter!

OK...Salesman Mode OFF: But to me, it's well worth the $.

Stay safe and virus free, everyone. :-)

Jeff
