I disagree Piper. These people weren't slaves. They lived in a free

country which they were free to leave, same as now. They weren't forced to

act unwisely. They were not forced to act in the best interest of someone

else instead of themselves, but chose to. I've read, thought and argued on

this subject much more than I care to, and if I thought you were a match

that could change my resolve on it, I would welcome you to try. But I do

different from one another. You compare apples to apples - green ones and

red and big ones, little ones, while I think altogether differently, along a

doesn't comprise solely a race of people who live in self-sacrifice for the

You can grasp and see, partly, the detriment one small group's ideas and

Do you know that the subtle tyranny of the vertical, heirarchal structure

that shapes and moulds your behaviour from day to day is giving you stress

and minimizing your sense of self worth?

What kind of transportation do you have? Do you drive a Ford SUV with

Goodyear Tires? Oh, lost an arm when the SUV turned over? What is wrong

with you girl? Get a grip. After all you are free in a free country.

Live in an older mobile home? Have breathing difficulties?

Can you imagine being a working woman, having children, needing to support a

family, and having to work in a building with negligent fire codes. As a

free woman, in a free country, would you say hey, chances are I will be ok or

I might not be ok but I don't have any CHOICE, at this time, in this CONTEXT,

to do anything else but support myself and my family, or, especially NOT

having the information that you were working in a death trap?
