The video they showed on ABC-13 appeared to show what was left of an SUV with Florida plates. Reports indicate they arrived in Miami and were driving over to A & M for the annual spanish language Fire School. Let's keep all these folks, and others travelling now, in our thoughts and prayers. Their Ford Explorer crashed into the back of a semi truck that was parked without a trailer on the side of the highway at 7 a.m. The four were pronounced dead at the scene. A fifth passenger was taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He is in critical condition, said state trooper Dana Cothren. The five flew into Miami from Venezuela, rented the Explorer and were head to -College Station for EMS and fire training, Cothren said. Officials have not released the names of the passengers, though two men and two women died, Cothren said.
