Guest guest Posted January 29, 2003 Report Share Posted January 29, 2003 The -ad ending means " toward " or " in the direction of. " So caudad means toward the tail. Cephalad means toward the head. Craniocaudad would mean toward the skull and tail. Wonder why the term wasn't " cephalocaudad, " which would mean " toward the head and tail " ? That's an anomaly. Anybody know why it's that way?
