Kathy,

Glad to have you back. I was actually going to call your mom today to

see how you were doing. Aren't moms great? Mine was here after I had

surgery to help with and the housework that I couldn't do. It

really helped me out. Just take it one day at a time and I know you

will do great.

Kathy,

Sounds like you are doing just about the same as most of us at the

beginning. Welcome over to this side and keep posting without worrying

anyone might be discouraged. Its better to know everything than to have

surprises.

Kathi, I am so glad that you are home. Sounds like you had it pretty

easy there believe it or not. I am only a day shy of 2 weeks post op

and am feeling like I could do anything. The first 5 days I vomitted

alot not a great feeling as you know. It was extremely painful. The

thing that scared me was just how final everything felt. Usually I

can quit any " diet " when I get sick of it or the cravings get to much

to handle and now no matter what I can't do that. To me it was a

scary feeling but after a few days I got used to the idea. Now I have

to say that I am really getting frustrated with the blended diet. I

want real food so badly but I don't because I don't want to screw

anything up for myself. I had to go to a party on Sunday, and the

food looked incredible and I couldn't have any of it. Talk about

feeling sorry for your self. But 2 days later I got on the scale and

saw the results -21lbs.I was thrilled!!!Try not to forget you have

sacrficed a major part of your life and it will take sometime to

adjust to it. That " why did I do this may come up again " or even

just the frustration of not being able to enjoy small things but it

will pass. I wish you the best of luck and I know we will both get

through this. Take care and don't sneeze (OUCH!!) Amy
