I have been to see the solicitor today and she is very positive about the case and is happy to also prepare my case for the GMC, for the moment I'm using this and my baby as my focus. Corinna made me smile when I was with her she commented on how alike our daughters look, I have always thought this so it made me smile I've attached a photo of Ceili, what do you think? As you know, I too had my endometrium scrapped away but I was left with a little bit at the top. Now whether this is growing or not, who knows but for now, I am not looking into it at all. I have tried just about everything and now I am just trying to enjoy my little adopted girl. Dr G was apparently going to do an endometrial biopsy on me too but because there was so little left, he decided to leave it alone. I'm right behind you on your case to sue this doctor. As you know, I too sued mine and I won out of court. It was so clear that what they did was wrong that it did not take long for them to admit their mistake. I'm with you all the way Lesia!!!!!!!!! I really don't know what to say because I have very little, but at least I have some. I know this is going to be a very difficult time for you & DH. I hope you continue to fight " the doctor, hospital, whatever or whoever it was " to try to prevent this from happening in the future to someone else. In addition, now that you know it was DEFINITELY negligence, I hope you know you are doing the best thing you can to help yourself and others by filing a lawsuit and putting justice where it belongs. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope in time you will be able to make some hard decisions to get you through this entire situation. Again, I am truly sorry. I believe that you will win somehow and you will lead the way for so many others who have ashermans. Your daughter is an absolute darling and I now know why you are always talking about cheeks!!!!!! You have a soft spot for them. Anyway, I guess there is some likeness in our daughters. I'll have to send a more recent photo so you can all see what a beauty she has become. As you know I had my surgery on Tuesday, when I came around it had taken less than an hour so I took this to be a good sign. Then Dr G came to see me and said there was no Endometrium. Yesterday I went to see Dr G so I could ask the questions that you guys and Corinna had helped me come up with. I'm still in a bit of shock so if I stuff this up please correct me Corinna. Dr G hit scarring to start with and the whole uterus was scarred shut he managed to open it up and was able to fully open the cavity un fortunately even with a clear view there was no endometrium, he took a small biopsy which confirmed this. Dr G has agreed to testify on my behalf and I have contacted my solicitor, I'm not just going to be running a cash case but also trying to get the doctor struck of. Dr G confirmed that the doctor had butchered me and this could not be seen in any other light than a case of negligence. If I had seen another doctor I might have thought he had got it wrong but I already know in my heart that he has told me the truth. I will try and thank you all individually for your messages in the next few days but please believe they really have made a difference to me. Sorry to bring a bit of a dull note to the group when we have had so much good news recently, but I kind of figure that we have to have the odd miss for all our hits and I'd rather it was me. Guest guest Posted October 29, 2002 Report Share Posted October 29, 2002 Lesia, I contacted the lawyer in Holborn but she thought I would probably be too late to sue as I am now 4 and a half years from the D & C and over three years from diagnosis. However recently I was given a name of a retired medical lawyer by a close friend who thinks I may still have a case that is worth fighting even given the time frames. Anyway I'm going yo write to him shortly to see what he thinks. I'll let you know if I have a reponse. Good luck with your case - are you using the lawyer in Holborn?
