Kat.. have you tried a breath mint or hard candy on top of your tongue while putting the vitamin or thyroid under....? That did the trick for me until I got accustomed to the taste....

Hi, I just read an article about the healing properties of B-12. Apparently if you take it orally, (swallow it) you only get about 2%-4%. However, if you take it sublingly...it is the same concept as Armour or natural thyroid. My prob is that what I have tastes HORRID (as does Armour...it even smells bad) so I usually just swallow everything. Does anyone know of vitamins that dissolve quickly as do the children's tylenol/ibuprophen? I would love to have the benefits of B12 but I cannot handle the taste. The article indicated that when taken sublingly, it would take a couple of weeks, but you would start to feel the effects. It said that it was helpful to some patients with dementia....memory loss etc....Just curious.....Thanks,Kat

Hi, Thanks, I don't have a problem swallowing them at all....I would

like to take Armour and B-12 sublingly, but I can't handle the

taste. I wish the vitamins would just dissolve quickly.

Thanks,

Kat

down. Take a sip of water before you put the pill in your mouth and

tilt your head slightly back to drop the pill in. Once that is done

then take a larger drink of water and you'll never taste a thing.

Just... don't tilt your head to far back... you'll get the hang of

it. Let me know if it works.

if you try it this way, the water will keep the pills from touching your tongue, that way there is no taste. good luck.

Kat - I am using the Methylcobalamin form of the B12 in a

sublingual. Mine is from KAL and is a pleasant Natural Berry

Flavor. I love the flavor. I found it at Sprouts, but you could

probably Google for it as well. The Methyl form is better absorbed

by the body than the Cyanocobalamin (which has to be converted to

the Methyl for the body to use). URL on bottle:

www.nutraceutical.com.
