Guest guest
Aliceanne, Thanks for the update. I sure hope you don't get much snow today. We're praying for you and everyone else involved. I'm sure it will be a wonderful time. Can't wait to hear all about it. My Corolla is 5 years old, but has never had to be put to such the test of needing to start when it's that cold, so sorry to hear that you had that problem. But I always look at things like that and wonder what was going on that God didn't want me to be a part of, like maybe an accident that He kept from happening. Hang in there and have a great time today. Margaret >>> Alice Sawyer 01/18/03 07:37PM >>> Well today, one day from the 90th birthday party already pressure enough we had our local AAMT chapter meeting. I am the chair for the continuing education credit applications so I was needed there. Everything went well. Even mom was up and ready to go out the door. I went to move the car closer to the door and start the heater. Well, my remote key did not work. I used the key and nothing with the ignition. The car is not even a year old. It was cold, maybe not 20 below, but it was cold. I could not believe that a 2003 Toyota Corolla would succumb to the cold but the car was dead. Obviously I did not make the AAMT meeting and had to go to the dealer with the car. Then pick mom up to get our hair done and then shop. I was to pick up chairs from church at 5PM but my help never arrived. I don't do well in lifting but a good friend, a doctor was in the back of the church where I was waiting and she offered to help me tomorrow morning. Now we are going to have another pressure day getting ready for the party. Mom will be receiving a special blessing at Mass and then we are heading over to my sisters for the party. Since it was planned to be here and the numbers coming grew my sister offered her home. So all the people who wanted to come here from our senior complex don't drive. Now I have to race here to pick them up after I drop mom off at my sisters. Hopefully some of my friends will come with me to help pick up the people from here. Wish us luck. Oh, the " S " word came up so we may be having snow tomorrow...just what we need.
