Guest guest Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Has he had a growth spurt upwards then ? Sometimes a status quo in weight in growing young children is the same as weight loss, they start to slip down the weight percentile curve and you see later on that they had maybe been in fact deficent in cals at that point. BMI or growth/height ratio is the best method to use to assess cal needs - it is the exact same time of the seizures each morn that has me swaying back to poss a cal issue, like is his last meal of the day is always at the same time? Perhaps he is 'running out' by 4.30 ish and maybe the last meal has to be later at night, like just before bed if he isn't already having a meal at this time? Have you ever managed to get a blood sugar level prior to these 4.30 am seizures? The fact his morn ketones have increased may say that he is going too low in the glucose dept? ----- Original Message ----- > Hi - > 's weight hasn't changed.
