Hi everybody,

Just wanted to share the good news. Sierra had a hearing test in the booth

yesterday and she did wonderful. She heard her name at 25 decibels. Before her

cochlear implant they were unable to get anything at 105 decibels during an ABR

(anything over 90 decibels is considered deaf). Sierra has only been activated

six weeks so far. We still have a lot of work, but it is great to know that she

can hear us now. If only she will leave the passimur on so we can work on

getting her to talk. Sierra is doing well at preschool and her teachers are

amazed at how smart she is and the difference since she has been implanted.

Well just wanted to share. Take care and God Bless.
