Re: Sestamibi

Hi Rodrigo,

My eye was caught by your message because I had a Sestamibi scan a

couple of years ago for a different reason - to localise a

parathyroid tumour (adenoma).

The use of Sestamibi scanning in thyca seems to be complementary

rather than replacing I131. At least, that's what I understand from

the following posts:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Thyca/message/14292 (Dr )

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Thyca/message/25321 (Dr Ain)

Ian has already addressed the stunning issue.

It would be interesting to know " why " your docs are using Sestamibi

in your particular case.

Hope this helps,

Judith (British living in Holland)

dx 1965 etc.
