Guest guest
They said it was to see the evolution and how is it inside (my endo says it's hard to read but using my previous scan se can fiugre out the evlutin of the thing...) avoiding me to get hypo because it's not necessary. I dunno :-) c-ya Rodrigo Re: Sestamibi Hi Rodrigo, My eye was caught by your message because I had a Sestamibi scan a couple of years ago for a different reason - to localise a parathyroid tumour (adenoma). The use of Sestamibi scanning in thyca seems to be complementary rather than replacing I131. At least, that's what I understand from the following posts: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Thyca/message/14292 (Dr ) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Thyca/message/25321 (Dr Ain) Ian has already addressed the stunning issue. It would be interesting to know " why " your docs are using Sestamibi in your particular case. Hope this helps, Judith (British living in Holland) dx 1965 etc. > Anyone have info on sestamibi scan? > Can it produce stunning? > > bye > > Rod This e-mail support group is one of many free services of ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc. <web site: www.thyca.org>.
