Guest guest Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Hi everyone, Phil is doing great. At his last check up he gained 2 lb. The lungs look good and his platelet and other counts are getting better. We have another CT scan scheduled for March 29. I have a love/hate relationship with them between the prep the test and waiting for the results. You hope for the best but just never know. We'll have a consult with dr. Rothman on April 7 and we'll decide where we go from here. The hope is a 4 to 6 week break. We are visiting burg the week after Easter for some much needed R & R. People are asking about me and so I will be honest. I am in counseling. My blood pressure went up but it is under control and being monitored by my Dr. I am usually not too weepy but sometimes the gravity of the situation gets the best of me. ly I am not ready to give up on Phil and I am probably not ready to accept that I may lose him. When I think of it I do get weepy but I am trying very hard to stay focused on TODAY (Easier said than done). The boys are doing pretty well and maintain their interests. Dan gets his license in May and has been playing chauffeur. He has become quite the socialite at 17 and is rarely home these days. It is hard to fathom that he will soon be an ADULT!!! Timmy is a bit more clingy/whiny but overall seems o.k. He was pretty worried when I had the bout of High blood Pressure. He seems to deal o.k. with Dad as long as he knows I am o.k. I guess that is his security. I'm probably leaving out questions you may have and if so just drop me a line. We appreciate all the cards letters prayers and offers of help. The support of all of you has truly touched our hearts. Keep praying and I'll write again when we have the CT results. Narice Quote
