Guest guest Posted November 3, 2004 Report Share Posted November 3, 2004 I agree if you know the reason for the loss it would help. My daughter was diagnosed at 2. She wore aides for 5 1/2 years. Hers fluctuated for a long time, then at 8 years old got worse. She was just implanted this last May. The doctors feel her vestibular acquiduct is enlarged. This is determined by a CT Scan. Keep in mind, it depends on who reads the scan. 5 years ago we were given anywhere from a normal VA to Enlarged. Often kids with a EVA is progressive.
