Hi-

I wish you good luck with your surgery, and I understand your worry about the

scheduling and when it falls during your cycle. I thnk it depends on the

surgeon. You may want to call your surgeon's office and ask which days in the

cycle they believe are workable. I was told the surgery should happen anytime

from

days 6 or 7 through 12 or 13--pre-ovulation. (I had the resection surgery on

November 15th, BTW, also with a combo/hybrid uterus--BU/SU which really turned

out to be SU when they finally " went in " and looked close-up). Some surgeons

put women on hormones to suppress ovulation so that they can do the surgery

any day of the cycle and have it be clear and as bloodless as possible. Others

(like mine) don't put most women on those medications and simply try to operate

at a " good " time in the cycle. There are also other variations I am sure. My

surgery was on day 9. I encourage you to call your doctor and get some answers

that will hopefully reassure you and at least let you know where you may

stand. Also, in terms of " trying again " after the surgery, I think many women

are

told to try two months later, but again, it depends--on if you take

post-surgery medication, what follow-up tests may be required, how complicated

your

surgery and recovery are. I would call your doctor about this too---I hope you

know that you are entitled to be reassured---don't be too afraid of being a

" pain " --this is a big deal for you and it is their job to answer whatever they

can.

Hope this helps--good luck--
