Guest guest
I would appreciate the name of the mandarin toothpaste if you can find it. We actually tried the Tom's strawberry toothpaste the first week or two of his diet, but he wasn't seizure free then so we assumed it was the toothpaste. I called the manufacturer and it has natural strawberry flavor, and so some sugar. Your daughter's ketosis isn't affected by it?? Thank you!! > > Has anyone found a toothpaste that tastes good? Guest guest
It's available from www.organicchildren.com. I'm not sure if it's available only in the UK or not??? When I asked about carb, the answer was " it does contain a small amount of carbohydrate - the Xanthum gum is obtained by fermenting starch with a specific strain of yeast. " However, the Toms Silly Strawberry flavour contains only 0.008g carboydrate per inch of paste (2.5g) apparently! I have never seen it, but Toms apparently do an Outrageous Orange flavour which has even less carb. I don't think Francesca's ketosis is affected by it. At night, she uses it right after her bedtime snack, so I guess it would be counteracted anyway by some fat in her cookie. Mornings her ketones are really up and down anyway. Hope this helps , Mum to Francesca, Keto Kid since Sept 03 > > > Has anyone found a toothpaste that tastes good?
