Guest guest
HI, Can anyone tell me what their experience has been weaning topomax. Joziah is down to 25/25/25 then on Monday he went to 17.5/25/25 but he seemed " off " His feeding schedule has been off so im sure that may have something to do with it. He wont wake for 11pm meals and wont drink the eggnog. So his calories are not always consistent.... On Wednesday i put him back on 25/25/25 .. ill try again on Monday to go to 17.5/25/25 Pls shed some light.. Thank You, Cleofi Blass Re: Re: Goodbye Lamictal Thanks, Glenna! Guest guest
Go slow.... we didn't (although we followed doc's orders) and ended up with the worst 3 days of our lives. Good news is that is what pushed us over the edge to start the diet. And I don't just blame the topamax, I'm now a firm believer in going super slow to wean (even though it is SO hard - once you've made the decision to wean, you want to hurry up and get if over with). And expect seizures, but stay committed to the wean. you'll find your self thinking..... wonder if the drugs were doing more than I think...and..... Am I crazy for taking away a seizure medicine when my child is having seizures?? Expect that it will be emotional for you.
