That's close to what I have. I'm profoundly deaf in my right ear and

moderate to severe in my left ear. I think someone once told me it was a

10% hearing loss.

hi Patty,

I wish you a speed recovery and you will be fine.

can you tell me what this procedure does

I am asking because my daughter had ear infection recently and her ENT seems

to feel that she might get more.

Not sure why she said like that.

Also she has mild to moderate hearing loss.

Chantelle and Michele,

is hearing loss in charge progressive.

my daughter has malformed cochleas and again her ENT seems to think that she

might loose all her hearing

why is that.

Also Michele what kind of hearing loss does Aubrie has (if she has any)

Patty,

Lovely to see you on here again. Was just thinking yesterday that I must

e-mail you off list and here you are. Do Boston and London have a

telepathic link?

What is the operation you are having on 18th? Very good luck with that and

please keep us all posted on progress.

As for communication with your dad, from what I saw of you two in Miami, you

have a strong bond that will encourage you both to do whatever you have to

do to ensure you continue to communicate with each other. Sometimes I too

wonder about my mum on different issues but when the chips are down, she

always comes up trumps.

Oh, congratulations on not only your travelling skills but your weekend

achievement with the boulder too! You can't keep much secret when you have

a proud mum!

Lots of cyber hugs across the waters.......

Flo

Guys, I have to say that Patty has every right to say what she has. I would

too if I were her. Especially since she and are so close, " buddies. "

Being 's wife though I have to also add that he has been trying to learn

sign. We took classes a while ago with him participating always. For some

reason he just can't get it. He tries.

And in his defense he has moved us up here and is in sales. He does have a

base pay but if he doesn't sell he doesn't make a good income. Heck, it's way

expensive to live up here. He is putting 100% into developing his client base

and territory. And he is doing that specifically for Patty. Remember-we

moved for her. So, instead of learning it bit by bit Patty wants him to learn

NOW! He knows about 20 words. That's it.

The day will come where he'll have to sign totally for her but for now she'll

just have to be patient and teach him. Talk about approximations!!!!

Actually, they're quite funny when they sign together. Patty ends up grabbing

his

fingers to form the sign correctly. It's a laugh.

With that, do men have a harder time making signs? His are quite unique!

Bonnie-

I knew had to be working on it -- just from what I know of him. It is

very hard. Especially when you have to do it little by little -- like just

on evenings and weekends. I'm sure they'll get it together!

I have to laugh about the men and signing. My husband thinks he can sign but he

makes up many of his " signs. " He can sign the important things like the songs

" who let the dogs out " and " my name is, my name is. "
