Meu nome é Gisele, tenho 28 anos e moro com minha mãe, portadora de uma

artrite reumatóide crônica. Durante uma busca na Internet de algo ou

alguém que pudesse nos ajudar, encontrei este site que se tornou para

nós uma mola no fundo do poço, uma luz, uma esperança.

Procurei relatar todos os acontecimentos de maneira contida, porém sem

omissões. As palavras a seguir não foram ditas por mero acaso, mas

sentidas com afinco.

Para que se entenda as proporções dos fatos é preciso descrever um pouco

da personalidade dessa pessoa. Uma mulher de 34 anos, alegre, forte, a

quem o medo ou a insegurança eram palavras e sentimentos impraticáveis.

Dona de uma beleza exuberante, que marcava presença onde quer que fosse,

filha dedicada, mãe zelosa, profissional extremamente competente,

compunham o perfil da minha mãe quando foi acometida pela primeira vez

por uma dor aguda na mão direita, a treze anos atrás (1988).

" A principio não me incomodei com a dor que passou logo, meses depois é

que iria ter início a minha saga. Durante uma festa senti uma dor forte

no pé direito que me obrigou a tirar o sapato e a passar o resto da

noite escondida atrás da mesa. Aquela dor, diferente da mão não passou o

que me obrigou a procurar um médico. Depois de alguns exames tive o

inesperado diagnóstico, era artrite reumatóide. Fiquei desesperada não

sabia o que fazer. O médico me receitou alguns medicamentos a base de

CORTISONA , CORTICOIDE, e outros como: INDOCID, METICORTEN e

METOTREXATE. Passei por vários especialistas, mas o receituário não

mudava, apenas aumentava. Um dos médicos procurados me recomendou que eu

me acostumasse com a dor, pois meu estado ainda iria piorar muito.

Aquilo ia me deixando cada vez mais debilitada e desmotivada a procurar

qualquer outro tipo de tratamento. Era quando a dor aumentava

latentemente que eu me dispunha a qualquer tipo de tratamento

alternativo. Tentei de tudo, das coisas mais estranhas que se pode

imaginar, contanto que diminuísse a dor que eu sentia, mas nada me fazia

melhorar.

Com o tempo as dores ficaram cada vez mais fortes e sentia o corpo

estralar: pés, joelhos, dedos, pulsos, cotovelos, ombros, pescoço,

maxilar, enfim tudo.

A necessidade de trabalhar me fazia levantar cedo, descer as escadas do

sobrado onde moro e com muita dificuldade conseguir chegar até o carro.

Assim fiquei durante nove anos, até que em 1997 tive que passar por uma

cirurgia de extração de visícola, decorrente também dos remédios por mim

ingeridos durante tanto tampo. O que deveria ser uma simples intervenção

cirúrgica, acabou por se transformar no meu mais profundo martírio.

Durante minha internação tive os medicamentos suspensos o que acabou

causando reações terríveis. Em uma semana perdi cerca de dez quilos pois

não conseguia beber nem água, a cirurgia precisou ser refeita por ter

tido rompimento de parede o que me levou a uma estava de quase um mês no

hospital. Quando voltei para casa acompanhada por uma gastrite crônica

levei também a dor, que nesse momento se tornou insuportável. Eu não

tinha posição para deitar ou sentar, não conseguia mais andar e já me

locomovia com o auxílio de cadeira de rodas. A dor era tão grande, tão

intensa que em alguns dias fiquei deprimida e esclerosada, não falava

coisa com coisa e fui dada por um médico como louca.

Hoje quatro anos depois continuo tomando os mesmos remédios que antes

com o acréscimo do PLAQUINOL, CELEBRA e ANTAK. Médicos procurei vários,

mas nenhum conseguiu devolver uma gota de esperança a minha vida.

Já não subo mais as escadas da minha própria casa, porque não consegui

me livrar da cadeira de rodas, pois meus joelhos atrofiaram, assim como

meus dedos entortaram. Ganhei cinqüenta quilos a mais no meu peso e os

remédios a muito tempo já não servem para amenizar minha dor, contudo

não posso parar de toma-los. Minha maior preocupação agora são meus

braços, que também estão atrofiando, já existe uma elevação na base do

meu cotovelo e um nódulo nos meus pulsos. A dor é insuportável e a noite

de tempo em tempo sou acordada pela dor.

Preciso de ajuda urgente, para que de alguma forma eu possa viver com um

pouco de dignidade e continuar meu trabalho, sem o qual certamente já

teria enlouquecido. Conto com a colaboração de quem quer que possa me

auxiliar nessa fase tão difícil da minha vida. "

Encontramos grande dificuldade de encontrar um médico que possa

ministrar o tratamento a base de antibiótico. Como no caso de minha mãe

a doença já está em estágio avançado, acreditamos que deveríamos começar

com dosagens IV, mas somos completamente leigas no assunto. Caso seja do

conhecimento algum médico que tenha a mesma base de tratamento aqui no

Brasil, gostaríamos muito de tentar. Nós moramos na cidade de São o,

já fomos a inúmeros consultórios e não conseguimos melhora no quadro
