Guest guest
does anyone know if Tiger Nuts are legal? My hasband found them in a health food shop. They're not mentioned on Elaine's site. They don't look too much like nuts, actually, more like shrivelled brown peas and the label says they're 48% carbohydrate. Thank you W SCD 21 months Ben 7 SCD 6 months

Guest guest
Hi , They also go by the name " chufa nut " and are not really a nut. They are the dried starchy tubers of the nutsedge plant. http://threeissues.sdsu.edu/three_issues_coquillofacts01.html So these aren't legal. It shows how careful you have to be. Not too much of a disappointment as they looked pretty tough. W
