does anyone know if Tiger Nuts are legal? My hasband found them in a

health food shop. They're not mentioned on Elaine's site. They

don't look too much like nuts, actually, more like shrivelled brown

peas and the label says they're 48% carbohydrate.

Thank you

" does anyone know if Tiger Nuts are legal "

,

I can't find much about them on Google except that they make

good carp bait...LOL.

Is there an ingredient label?

Or a brand name?

Hi ,

They also go by the name " chufa nut " and are not really a nut. They are the

dried starchy tubers of the nutsedge plant.

So these aren't legal.

thanks for solving the mystery - I've never heard of this plant. The

lady in the healthfood shop insisted they were nuts. It shows how

careful you have to be. Not too much of a disappointment as they

looked pretty tough.
