what I do is I take all the pieces out, familiarize myself with them and

sort them into like piles.

Then I look through the directions very very carefully and assemble al the

tools I will need.

Then I go one small step at a time. Sometimes very very small step, and

sometimes I don't finish that day.

Oh, and I expect things to not fit, pieces to perhaps be missing (at least

for a while) and things that will need re-assembling when I move to the next

step and am now able to see the mistake I made.

This comes from years of building IKEA furniture.

Staples office furniture is usually better at providing all the pieces,

having holes and slots in all the right places and stuff like that. Just

double check your drawer slot directions and which way the boards are facing

)

It is a great looking desk!! I love the compartments at the top.

Ive actualy been in love with this desk for the longest time and was all set

to buy it last year but dad said he would get it then that fell through

cause he wanted me to buy a cheaper one wich really didnt have all the

usefull compartments that this one has. The other one didnt even have the

lower keyboard area.

So i decided to buy it myself as soon as I could.

do you have any neighbors that look like they could handle the assembly? I had

a similar problem and one of my neighbors saw the big box being delivered and we

laughed about that and I asked him if he would be interested in putting it

together for 40 dollars? He was VERY interested and Voila!! my cabinet is

together and he has $40.oo in his pocket.
