Re: Too much Armour?

I think that's a pretty big jump, myself, but I haven't dealt with Armour yet because my Free T3 is so high, I'm afraid to try it until my body actually starts using some of that up. I would say, go back down to what you originally planned to have taken, and just count yourself lucky that you didn't over do it, but realize that you may have to work up to that high eventually. That's just my theory...I'd rather err on the side of caution than over do it and possibly end up feeling worse in the end. Plus, if that is too high for you, you've overshot a possible sweet spot for yourself, and slow and easy is the way as I keep being told. *hugs* I'm glad you didn't have any bad side effects from it!

Hey all! I have another question..Okay, I have been playing with my own meds (boughtadditional Armour on internet, God help me..). Yesterday I meant to go from 2.75 gr. to 3.0 grains, but accidentally took 2 2gr. pills to equal 4 grainstotal.Scary part? Absolutely no negative side effects. Ipeed gallons, which is great because I have ascistes

(sp - unusual amount of abdominal fluid). Noincreased heart rate, no sleeplessness, no nothing. What does this mean to you guys? Should I stay on 4gr. and hope this is closer to what I need?My background is that my TSH is really low, but so are

my free t3s and free t4s (which shouldn't be low if myTSH is non-existant, right?) My bp is low 120/70 ish,my pulse is normally around 88-100 (with or withoutthyroid meds) and I am way overweight. Dieting

doesn't help at all - even Atkins induction for amonth didn't cause any loss. So, what do you think??Love,MMisty

Misty, I did that once too. I wouldn't stay with that

large a jump, because, while apparently the extra T3

didn't bother you, the T4 build up may overwhelm you

later and it will be harder on your body to go through

the hyper and the time it takes for you to get back

down to where you were so you can start all over again

with the small increase. I wouldn't necessarily back

off the small increase you are trying to do though,

just go back to the 3 grain dose you are trying.
