My SIL lent me her Medela Pump in Style ( is a hospital grade pump in a " briefcase " style bag). It is very nice. I know that the cost to purchase it through my hospital is $265.00. The hospital also rents pumps (Medela hospital grade but not the pump in style) for $45.00 for the first month and $25.00 for each month after that. I don't know how portable the ones they rent are, as I was lucky enough to have my SIL offer the use of hers (otherwise I would have tried renting one). Matt still gets at least one (sometimes 2) bottles of formula the days he is at day care as I can only pump once while I am at work (due to my court schedule). So far it is working fairly well. I will stop pumping when my SIL has her baby (she is due in October) because she will want the pump back, but by then Matt will be on solids anyway. Take Care.
