Guest guest Posted August 11, 2004 Report Share Posted August 11, 2004 Michele, If your heart is pounding or beating fast, but it is not irregular, then I think that is not Afib. Afib has an irregular beat, not an even beat. Just a fast pounding is more of a palpitation, and afib is when it misses beats and when you take your pulse, it is irregular. Mine goes a few beats slow, and then several fast and uneven, when in fib. Everyone is different, and maybe some on the board have different experiences.
