Finally calm with fib, after 15 years!

This morning at 5:00 A.M. I awoke with yet another fib attack. They

used to come only once or twice a year. My last one was a week ago!

They last about 8-10 hours, but I have noticed that if I stay calm

and relaxed, I can bareley feel the pounding, but I do feel a bit

weak when I walk around. The Toprol keeps the heart rate down, and my

cardio says that is the safest approach for me. I also take coumadin.

It is still hard to imagine how someone goes to a job, or on with

normal activities while in fib? Even though I am calm and my symtoms

are mild at the moment, I still feel lethargic, and would not want to

have to go to work today. I do take a nerve relaxer, and wonder if

that makes the symtoms of weakness worse?

Anyhow after reading the messages on the board this morning, it is

nice to know that we are not alone in this!

It amazed me too! Maybe it is beacause I am not on any meds and I

feel it more when it happens? You mentioned you had pounding with

your heart. I get that sometimes after a meal. My rythma is normal

but the beats are strong. Is that Afib?
