Guest guest
Hey - don't beat yourself up! Figure it this way, you use to eat like that 7 days a week, last week you did it 1 time instead of 7. I always keep fat free pretzles on had and some form of lower calorie and lower fat something that I can replace my old munchy attacks with) Ang > Hello All, > > I am not a happy camper. Guest guest
ne, I know, it's easy to be hard on yourself. I have done it many times. But as everyone else told you, it was one time. It is soo important to remind yourself that this is a new " lifestyle " . There will be ups and downs. The thing is how often they happen and how you react to them. Stop kicking yourself and just learn from it. A key to a new lifestyle is portion control. It is alright to have treats, just only allow yourself to have only a portion. It takes a real conscious effort but if you remind yourself how you felt after that and think of how you did all week and what you want to do, you will get the strength and resolve to say NO next time. Other things that work are before giving in to a temptation: Drink a glass of water Brush your teeth Find something busy to do- go for a walk, fold some clothes, come here and post, just something to get your mind off the food for at least 10 min. If you still want the food, go ahead! Dish up or count out only a portion. Take small bites, chew slowly and enjoy. I know eating slow is hard but the theory is if you eat slowly you get more satisfaction and eat less. It works for me, most the time. Again, like I said, it takes a real conscious effort. Some serious soul searching. Asking yourself what you really want? Is it worth it? What do you want more, short term gratification or long term success. That thinking process has helped me a lot. Hope it helps you too. Gena

Guest guest
yay on your loss! personally I think naked popcorn tastes like styrofoam....lol...but I'm glad you can eat it ;-) I treat myself usually once a week to 2 cups of orville redenbacher's cheddar or butter flavoured popcorn and a diet pepsi. Usually on Thursday while watching ER. LOL I measure the popcorn out in the kitchen and leave the rest there, i'm just too lazy to get up and get more. That's usually the only night I munch after 8 during the week, so I don't feel so bad. Hey, I haven't had any this week (was cleaning on thursday), i can have some tonight! Guest guest
Thanks. I like those mini bags of Orville Redenbacher's Smart Pop for the office. They're just the right size, but I can only find them in one store around here. I think it's such a great idea, I can't understand why they're so hard to find. I'd think they'd be good for vending machines too. A regular sized bag is really too much, although I've been known to sit there and cram one into my face kernel by kernel.
