....did you have a SU? BU? I'm curious what hurdles you had to go

thru to get to this point...

Hi ,

My septum was discovered last March or April, confirmed via lap/hyst

as a complete SU last June. My RE didn't want to resect as he feared

the impact of scar tissue on my fertility (we had been TTC for

almost 3 years) and as I had never had a previous miscarriage. I was

okay with this as I had more or less given up hope of getting

pregnant and was well on my (our) way through the international

adoption process. Much to my surprise found out I was pregnant last

October, put adoption on hold and lived in fear for at least the 24-

28 weeks due to the septum (I sure wished the septum had been

removed once I was pregnant I tell you). Happily, thus far I've only

had one major pregnancy complication - placenta previa. I had heavy

bleeding at week 14 and was off work for 7 weeks until my

placenta " migrated " away from my cervix. I have been monitored at

least every two weeks since week 12 by perinatologists. As the baby

is in my smaller horn (left), and due to funnelling in my cervix by

week 30, the doctors really expected me to deliver early, likely in

the 32-35 week range, so I've been off work since 30 weeks. Alas,

here I am ,40 weeks pregnant and everything seems fine. I'm just

back from my weekly appointment, I'm 3 cm dilated, so I guess it

won't be too long now (still no contractions though!)

Good luck and take care,

a
