Guest guest
Hi everyone! I have not written a post in a long time, but I do read all of yours. Everyone one of you are in my prayers. I have a question....my son is on the keto diet and as of April 1st he is medication free. The only type of seizures he is having are grand mal's and they usually happen at night. He used to have all kinds of seizures: drops, grand mals, absent and a list of others. The past few days he has had a grand mal every night and today he has had a drop and is very jerky today. I was wondering if this is a drug wean or something else. How long does the medication usually last in the body. He was on Depakote sprinkles and on 1 pill. He is also on a 4:1 on the diet too. I would really like some feed back and let me know that this is a normal weaning thing. Thank you. , mom to 4 1/2 - keto kid 1 yr.
Guest guest
Dear , From past discussion with medical staff that have dealt with my treatment, especially during double-blind drugs trials, I've come to the understanding of drugs addition and wean as follows:- When a drug is added it might take around 4 days before it starts to develop some response in it working. When weaning it may also take 4 days to leave to a noticeable level, although there might be residual level within the body for a while longer. Blood testing would obviously be the best form of action to take to confirm this, best wishes, Phil my son joshua Hi everyone! I have not written a post in a long time, but I do read all of yours.
