I think the problem is that some if not many doctors DON'T like to

research (too boring) and they have ego's that won't allow them to call

another doctor for help. Heavens, that would mean he/she didn't know

anything in the eye's of the other doctor. How silly is that..!!! But,

it happens time and time again. A really good doctor will pull from

others what he doesn't know, thereby expanding his own knowledge at the

same time. Our world would be a better place if all the doctors would

work together.

My GP is great like that. She'll get right on the phone and call several of

her Dr. colleagues and get advice from all different angles. I love that

about her. That's why I wouldn't hesitate at all for her to be my primary

Dr. when I get back from Montreal because I refuse to go back to my Rheumy.
