Did you conceive your 2yr old naturally? How was that pregnancy?

I also have a UU, and I conceived my 2 yr old son naturally and

carried him to 35 weeks. I am currently almost 30 weeks pregnant

with my second child, which was also conceived naturally (although

this one took about 1 1/2 yrs to conceive). I would say that if you

had success the first time, your chances are very good that you will

have a successful pregnancy again. A first UU pregnancy (or any

first MA pregnancy for that matter) is usually the riskiest as your

uterus has not been stretched out yet and quite frankly you just

don't know how your body will handle pregnancy until it is in the

situation.

Finding out that you were born with an abnormality is a very strange

feeling. I remember feeling like a freak of nature when I was first

told, but you are fortunate in that many of the unknowns for MA

women have already been answered for you...ie. you know you can get

pregnant, you know you can carry a baby successfully etc.

Yes, I conceived my ds naturallly and it only took us 5 mths. after

having been off of bcp for 4 months. I had a normal pregnancy and

was induced at 38 wks. because of high blood pressure. For most of

my pregnancy I was lopsided (on the left) but nobody suspected

anything abnormal. Thank you for your response. It was

encouraging. Did you ever try anything like IUI to increase your

chances. I can't afford IVF.

Hi ,

No, I have never had any kind of infertility treatments. With my

first child, I got pregnant after only 2 months of charting, and

with my 2nd I charted for 15 cycles without any success, and then

the first month I stopped charting and 'took a break from ttc', I

got pregnant! We were 2 weeks away from our first ever appt. with an

infertility specialist. As for my miscarriages, the first one

happened the cycle prior to conceiving my first child (the first

month I ever charted), and the 2nd happened when my son was about 7

months old, and we had not been using BC (we weren't ttc at the

time). The 2nd miscarriage was likely caused by my thyroid levels,

which were horribly out of whack at the time, rather than my UU.

Considering the fact that you already have a child that was

conceived naturally, and the fact that you were able to carry to 38

weeks (which is fabulous for a UU), I would say that you should be

very optomistic about your odds of having more children.

Best of luck,
