Guest guest
Dear Ingrid, Yes, I had the same thing happen - don't panic - it's good that you called your Oncologist to let them know. I felt like a truck mowed me down!!!! They will give you some ideas to help your pain. I remember using the pain medication I had left from my bilateral mastectomies, along with motrin or advil, but ask first. You will feel better in a day or two! Guest guest
Hello ladies, I completed my 4 rounds of a/c about a month ago. I had my first(of 4) round of taxol Tuesday. Now for the question. Has anyone had any side affects from the taxol? I have not been able to sleep for 3 days. Every bone, muscle, and joint in my body hurts. On a pain scale of 1- 10, I give it a 7-8. I am even having groin/perineal pain. What is up woth all this? I know my counts are all down a little and I am aware of the neuropathy but have never heard or read about this type of side affect. I am waiting to hear back from my doc but in the meantime thought I would see what others experience has been. Thanks, Ingrid

Guest guest
- Finally heard back from the MD's office. Evidently this pain is a possible side affect. It can be worse for some more than others. Can last for more than a few days. I feel like a truck has run over me. It feels like the worse flu you can imagine without the repiratory stuff. The good news though. They are calling in a script for vicodin for me. Now to just force myself to go get it. I can say that if I am willing to take drugs, it is bad. I don't even like taking aspirin unless absolutely necessary. Well, off I go. Hope everyone else has a good day. Guest guest
I have pain all the time also. I just see my family Dr., and my Onc every 6 months. I have tendinitis in my right elbow, bursitis in my legt shoulder, arthritis, pain in my neck that he can't explain. I was in a car accident two months ago and hit the steering wheel and still have pain on my rib bones. I can always tell when it is going to rain I hurt so bad. My Dr. has tried everything and nothing works, so I went back to Tylenol Extra Strength. I had a bone scan once and my onc told me there is no cancer, but you have arthritis in every joint in you body. ssist@... wrote: Dear Ingrid, Yes, I had the same thing happen - don't panic - it's good that you called your Oncologist to let them know.
