my name is rose and I'm going to the Dr for my 16week check up and

have a question for all the expecting moms. I believe that I'm

starting to develop hypoglycemia, I'm showing all the signs and when

I eat a candy it goes away with in 20 mins. This happens when I dont

eat about every 2hrs. I'm going to ask the doctor tomorrow about

this but want to ask you guys if this happens to anyone else and is

this the early stages of ( gestational diabetes )(sp) . what has been

the experience of others and is there something I should be asking

the DR tomorrow that I'm forgeting.

thanks

Hi Rose, I have hypoglycemia, and it hasnt developed into gestational diabetes,

and I am in my 6th month. I have to eat at LEAST every 2 hours as well. My

doctors only advice was to make sure I eat, and try to do protein first. I dont

think that it necessarily has to develop into diabetes. Has your doctor checked

your blood sugar?? In the beginning I thought I had diabetes, but my blood

sugar ended up being really low. Just make sure he checks, and that way you are

certain. It can be a pain in the behind, but I've learned to deal with it, and

its not even daily anymore. Good luck at your appt!!
