There is a bit of a controversy on the list about flax. Seems like a few

years ago the majority who tried it had great results. Increased

ketones, less seizures, lower cholesterol. Then it seemed like a lot of

new ones who tried it got more seizures or gagging, sick kids. So

obviously its very individual.

Start with a small amount, no more than a few grams per day and work

your way up slowly. It can upset the tummy a little if you go too fast,

although its not as bad as MCT oil for that.

Buy and keep refrigerated, don't use in cooking. We whip ours in with

some other oil in the cream with sweetner and flavouring. Some use to

make a salad dressing. Some mix in drinks or kids will drink straight

Good luck

Definitely worth a try

We've used flax for several years. Help bring 's cholesterol down to

normal range. No, can't cook with it. It has a nutty taste that some do

not like. We mix with his " pudding " with everymeal -- oils, coconut

milk, flavoring, art. sweetener -- and freeze. Ketones seem to darken

with this oil. It has some essential fatty acids in it -- very, very

healthy oil. Highly recommend. Start out slow - maybe 2,3g at every

meal (of course figured into your meal). We give about 6g per meal.

Kathy - joel's mom - keto since 2-2000
