Becky,

You may want to get more info on administration methods for the

morphine pump. This definitely does not need to keep Jeff

housebound. The daughter of our close friends(she was the same age as

our daughter so we spent a lot of time together)had a morphine pump

for almost a year to control pain from her bone cancer. She worked

part-time at a coffee shop and did many things with her 2 toddlers

during that year. She was really only home-bound for the last couple

of weeks she lived when she was just too weak and ill from the

disease. She joined us for a special dinner with our families just 3

days before passing in her sleep. She often commented about the

morphine pump making life so much easier and letting her enjoy life

without the pain. I'm sure this, like all treatments, works

differently for everyone but I can verify that it definitely worked

for her!
