Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry you're going through this. I know how awful it is to get such bad news. I would say that if you saw the baby but no heartbeat was seen, along with the bleeding are pretty sure signs that the baby is no longer alive. It might be good for your peace of mind to hold off for a week and see if you miscarry naturally, especially since you are bleeding, you might miscarry naturally. I'm sending hugs your way. If you have a D & C, be sure to request that you are not awake during the procedure. I thought this would be a given, but I was awake during my D & E and it was awful. Some women don't mind being awake, but it was way too emotional for me. I'm not sure what to expect for a 7 week pregnancy because I was further along, but I'm sure other ladies can chime in. Guest guest
Hi I am so sorry to hear you are going through this...Unfortuanetly I went through a very similar situation in august and I know the roller coaster that you are riding on right now...I was about six weeks when I started bleeding...my dr put me on modified rest (as I work in a special ed preschool and have a very physical job) they were hoping it may have just been a clot from implantation....so they were doing u/s every week and kept saying that it was a very early preg and hard to tell..by my seventh week they did an u/s and thought they saw a weak h/b but it was really my own...by the eighth week my dr saw that it was still only a yolk sak and termed it a " blighted ovum " where the egg fertilizes and implants but never grows from there...he also gave me the two options..but wanted me to m/c on my own if possible b/c as he put it " nature can do a much better job than I can " with the risk (even though it is small) of infection/scar tissue from a D & C..I m/c on my own about two days after that u/s ( it was not that bad more of a fear of the unknown...just very heavy bleeding and some mild cramping..which I had been having for the past two weeks ...it was more of a fear of the unknown)....I don;t know how long he would have let me go though had I not...It really is a choice that you have to make....good luck and please know that you are in my thoughts..I hope this helped...sorry it was so wordy... jazzerita wrote: Hi , I'm sorry you're going through this.
