As a newbie AFIB, when I sleep at night, even though I am in normal

rhythm, I am hyperaware of my heartbeat and can't fall asleep. Any

help for this? I try sleeping with the TV/radio on, and I then start

feeling the vibrations. Sleeping on my stomach is the worst -

I " feel " the matress shaking - though I know this is mostly my

hyperawareness.

Any tips for falling asleep??

When I was in the hospital several years ago with afib for the first time I

don't think I closed my eyes for two days!! My cardio said Tylenol PM

wouldn't addict me nor would Benedryl which Tylenol PM contains. I've taken

it every night since then with no problems. My doc won't let me take

anything but Tylenol since I'm on Coumadin. I say, whatever works!!!

worse ones. In terms of helpful aids (is an unhelpful aid possible?), I can

only recommend what assists me greatly -- Excedrin PM, to which I'm probably

now addicted and don't give a RA. It knocks me out with no grogginess the

next morning.
